Our Vision

Our vision is deeply anchored in the sovereign purpose that God has for His church. We are devoted to living out the life of Jesus Christ, faithfully carrying out His mandate to advance His Kingdom here on earth as in Heaven.

• A movement dedicated to upholding the authority of Holy Scripture as our guiding faith and direction, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

• A fellowship rooted in the love of the Lord, radiating mercy, kindness, humility, and respect.

• A body led by the Holy Spirit, fully acknowledging baptism in the name of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit .

• Holy Spirit as a source of power for witness and service in fulfilling the Great Commission.

• A people who hunger for God, experience His presence, and stand in awe of His holiness as He transforms believers into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

• A church dedicated to strengthening family relationships and community bonds, guiding people toward healthy morality, relationships, and embodying a divine nature and character.

• A church that embraces all individuals and resolutely opposes any action or policy that discriminates based on race, color, or nationality. We are committed to upholding truth, compassion, gentleness, and fairness.

• A congregation committed to social revival and correction within a healthy, protected family environment, enriched and enlightened by the Word of God. We embody a movement of love and concern for the hurts and loneliness of the unsaved, through dedicated evangelistic, discipling, and nurturing ministries.

• A movement dedicated to preserving faith across generations, nurturing a strong belief in the Lord Almighty.

What we Believe

The Church of God Hobart Prayer Fellowship believes that the entire Bible is completely and equally inspired, serving as the written Word of God. We have adopted the following Declaration of Faith as our standard and official expression of doctrine.

In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

• In one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

• That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

• That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

• That all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded by God and necessary for the forgiveness of sins.

• That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are achieved through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

• In sanctification following the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ, the Word, and by the Holy Spirit.

• That holiness is God's standard of living for His people.

• In baptism for those who believe and declare their faith according to the Bible: "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned" (Mark 16:15-18).

• In baptism in the name of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. In water baptism by immersion, and that all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

• In speaking in tongues and in spiritual gifts and fruits, with speaking in tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

• That divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

• In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.

• In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth for a thousand years.

• In the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
